Thinus, completed his undergraduate degree at North-West University (NWU) in 2015, followed by his Honours degree in 2016. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2019 and subsequently obtained his Registered Auditor (RA) designation with IRBA in 2023. He began his articles in 2017, where he was recognised as the top trainee in his year group. He progressed and was appointed as an Associate Director in 2022.

Thinus has gained valuable exposure across a broad range of industries, including agriculture, financial services, retail, manufacturing, energy, and mining. In addition to audit, he has also developed experience in tax consulting services.

Outside of his professional commitments, Thinus enjoys playing golf, cycling, and running, and values spending quality time with his family over weekends.
